My nephew, Junjun and I teamed up in opening this facility for the community. During my last few trips to Pagbilao, I always had a laptop, but could not access the internet as we didn’t have any internet connection, at the time, in the house. I always need to be electronically connected to my family, friends and especially our business that I personally manage. So I am always on search for an internet cafe; found one near to our residence and a couple of them few miles away. Recently, I just found out that the one near to our residence had closed down. I thought about the residents of the community. What about those who has no or little knowledge about computer, those who wants to develop their computer skills, those who are not fortunate to own one, can't go to a technical school for training, or has to go miles away to have access?

For these reasons, Jun Internet Cafe & Office Services (JICOS was created mainly to serve the residents with their needs on learning and exploring computer technology; to help small businesses with their basic office needs; as well as to assist teachers and students with their basic school projects and reports.

About the Owner

I am a native "  Pagbilaoin",  born and raised in Pagbilao by the late Albino Mendoza & Dominga Merluza. I am an adventurer and an explorer; these are just the two of my main characteristics. Left hometown to explore the world outside Pagbilao since 1978, worked as a civil servant with the Bauchi, Nigeria, Ministry of Finance until 1984, migrated to the US and currently residing with my own family in New York.

My name is Florida, known to many in my generation and family as Rida. As a young high school student, I learned some skills from my late mother for the entrepreneurship and from my late father, who was then serving as an employee or secretary to the Pagbilao Municipal Mayor. My father always made me assist him whenever he brings home some of his office chores over the weekend. Typing, proof reading, filing, organizing were just a few of the skills that I learned and developed through him. Since then I never stopped learning on something new. With the ever fast changing technology, computer technology in particular, I always keep myself on track.  I am not a pro, just know basics, and these are what I am sharing and passing to my nephew, whom I saw has the interest, ability and skill to learn farther about the computer technology and to be a future entrepreneur.
